downloadDr. James Garbarino holds the Maude C. Clarke Chair in Humanistic Psychology and was the founding Director of the Center for the Human Rights of Children at Loyola University Chicago. Previously, he was an Elizabeth Lee Vincent Professor of Human Development and Co-Director of the Family Life Development Center at Cornell University. Dr. Garbarino has served as consultant and advisor to numerous national and international organizations and the media. He also serves as a scientific expert witness in criminal and civil cases involving issues of violence and children.He is an influential author in the arena of child abuse and neglect and has been honored with numerous awards including the National Conference on Child Abuse and Neglect’s first C. Henry Kempe Award in 1985.
