Product Description

For more than 30 years mindfulness has been growing in our culture and is now integrating deeply into medicine, psychotherapy, education and business. However, while typical programs have shown great outcomes in stress reduction, well-being and even neuroplastic change, most research also shows the practices that have created this change, tend to fall away after the classes end.

There are two fundamentals of mind that don’t often get taught in current mindfulness courses, but can help deepen experiential integration of mindfulness and compassion practices, leading to more enduring outcomes. In this presentation, Dr. Elisha Goldstein, will share some of the latest science and methods that can help to prime the mind for mindfulness and compassion training, learning how to deeply relax the nervous systems on demand and create more alertness and stability. He will introduce what he calls the “x factor” in supporting someone to truly integrate mindfulness into their lives and also present a model that can further our individual work, the patients we work with, our culture and the world.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Describe the essential skills to create the optimal conditions for a receptive mind.
  2. Demonstrate how to tune your nervous system and balance being deeply relaxed yet awake and clear.
  3. Apply key exercises for creating a sense of stability of focus while remaining relaxed and at ease.
  4. Utilize a proven practice to integrate the heart and mind, expanding into self-compassion, the cornerstone to building a sense of courage, resilience and emotional well-being.
